Ute Mountain Reservation is also on my list of interesting places to visit in Colorado because of Ute Mountain Tribal Park which offers interpretive tours of Native American life.

The reservation also has a lovely Pottery Factory where you can see artisans at work, making beautiful pottery items.
Another reason to explore the Ute Mountain Reservation is because of the sacred Ute Mountain. When staring at the mountain from afar, it resembles an Indian laying on his back.

If you’re visiting Mesa Verde National Park, Ute Mountain Ute Indian Tribe is just 40 miles south of the park so it's worth adding these two places on your Colorado itinerary.
